The Eternal Self-Existent I AM -Chino Seventh-day Adventist

In this message we explore the wonders of the Good News that Jesus always has been and always will be. He is the great eternal “I AM” that Moses spoke to. The following is the Scripture outline we used in the presentation of this message at the Chino Seventh-day Adventist Church. May the Lord richly bless you and encourage you through the study of the this eye opening chapter.

  1. Acts 2: 38 “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
  2. John 18: 1. When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered.
  3. John 18: 2-3. And Judas, who betrayed Him, also knew the place; for Jesus often met there with His disciples. 3 Then Judas, having received a detachment of troops, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
  4. John 1: 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
  5. John 18: 4-9. Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?” 5 They answered Him, “Jesus [a]of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. 6 Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.  7 Then He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” 8 Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,” 9 that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom You gave Me I have lost none.”
  6. Exodus 3: 14 “I AM who I AM.”
  7. John 6: 35 I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
  8. John 8: 12 I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.
  9. John 10: 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
  10. John 10: 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
  11. John 11: 25 I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
  12. John 14: 6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
  13. John 18: 6 Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
  14. John 18: 8 “…If you seek Me, let these go their way.”
  15. John 18: 10-11. Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.  11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”
  16. 1 Peter 4: 8 “Love covers a multitude of sins.”
  17. 2 Corinthians 10: 4 The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
  18. John 18: 12-14. Then the detachment of troops and the captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him. 13 And they led Him away to Annas first, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest that year. 14 Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.
  19. John 18: 15-18. And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and went with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest. 16 But Peter stood at the door outside. Then the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought Peter in. 17 Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, “You are not also one of this Man’s disciples, are you?”  He said, “I am not.” 18 Now the servants and officers who had made a fire of coals stood there, for it was cold, and they warmed themselves. And Peter stood with them and warmed himself.
  20. 2 Corinthians 12: 10 “…When I am weak, then I am strong.”
  21. Luke 22: 61-62. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” 62 So Peter went out and wept bitterly.
  22. Psalm 34: 8 “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
  23. John 18: 33-38a. Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?” 35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” 36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?”
  24. John 8: 32 “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
  25. Matthew 9: 29 “According to your faith let it be to you.”
  26. Matthew 24: 14. This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
