Not Ashamed of the Gospel-Chino Seventh-day Adventist Church

 The Apostle Paul wasn’t ashamed of the Gospel even though the it’s so simple that even a small child can understand it. It was this statement that Paul made in Romans 1: 16 that sparked the Protestant Reformation. The beautiful simplicity of the Gospel is powerful. May this study and the Scriptures it presents encourage you in your walk with the Lord.

The following is the Scripture outline that we followed in this message that was presented at the Chino Seventh-day Adventist Church.

  1. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4.

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.  3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

  1. Verse 2

“…By which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

  1. Verses 3 & 4

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

  1. Romans 1: 15-17.

“…As much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

  1. Acts 13: 46

 Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.”

  1. John 3: 16.

 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

  1. 2 Timothy 1: 8-12.

 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 11 to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

  1. 2 Timothy 1: 10

 “Jesus…has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

  1. Psalm 95: 1-2

 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.  2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

  1. 1 John 5: 13.

 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

  1. 2 Corinthians 5: 14.

 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
